Principle of operation
So, to properly understand the operating principle of a pellet device, you should understand its design. It is quite simple and consists of 3 main parts: the boiler itself with a burner, a conveyor for feeding pellets and a fuel hopper. The functioning of the boiler is ensured as follows:
- Pellets are loaded into the fuel bunker.
- The pellets are supplied by a screw conveyor.
- In the process of burning pellets, they heat up the coolant.
The principle of combustion occurs “from top to bottom”. Such combustion occurs more slowly than when the fuel burns “from the bottom up,” so that the circulating gas flows involve the upper layers of the fuel in the combustion process. The rate of fuel combustion can be controlled by moving the fire zone downward. Thus, soot and ash are formed in minimal quantities, and efficiency increases up to 96%. Pellet boilers can operate on one bed for more than a day - quite convenient for use in domestic conditions.
And here is Serik’s story:
I recently exchanged my apartment in Pavlodar for a house in the Suburbs. And over the weekend I moved into this house. Behind the garden from the Irtysh there is a small creek. The weather is good, it’s fresh outside, I think, let me go fishing. I dug up some worms, took a fishing rod and walked through the garden to the creek. I’m sitting, and the fish is falling like from a machine gun into a bucket, as soon as I threw it I have to pull it, I’m so happy.
A blow to the neck and screams, another blow. The blows rain down on me and the three-story mat. I turn around and think, what kind of crazy person rushed at me?
Granny is 1.5 meters tall and about 70 years old, waving her bag and hitting me. It turns out that this is her place for fishing, she feeds it all summer and no one except her has the right to fish here without her asking, but I didn’t ask. How could I ask if I didn't know?
In short, she took the fish, I didn’t fight with it. She wanted to break my fishing rods, but I didn’t let her and went home through the fence. I haven’t gone fishing anymore since that incident.
This is the story Serik told us at work! Good luck and see you again, Andrey Noak was with you!

Automatic control mode
Pellet granules are stored in a separate bunker , which is connected to the combustion chamber.
Automation allows you to set a weekly program for feeding pellets into the boiler. In addition, the automation will turn the burner on or off according to the established program, which allows you to save fuel consumption and maintain the set temperature depending on the time of day. Control can be done either using the remote control or using the buttons on the display. A bunker with a volume of 200 to 300 liters ensures continuous operation of the boiler for three days. For uninterrupted operation of an average-power boiler within 25 kW, the daily norm is 5 kg. You can install an external bunker, which will greatly increase the volume of pellet loading, thereby increasing the operating time of the boiler without your intervention. The control system is responsible for the operation of the burner ; granules are fed into the combustion chamber in small batches, which eliminates the possibility of overheating. If you need to turn off the boiler, then after pressing the function button, its operation will automatically stop after 5-10 minutes, which is required for complete combustion of the loaded batch of pellets.

Owner reviews
Vyacheslav Petrozavodsk I am satisfied with the operation of the boiler. It is unpretentious and works well. For the money I spent, it's quite a worthy thing. The bunker lasts for 2 days - this is a minus. I'll try to enlarge the receiver.
Vasily Moscow Did not notice any shortcomings, mostly advantages. I control the boiler via GSM right from home.
Gennady Irkutsk Among the shortcomings, I would like to note that there is no ignition, and it’s strong - cast iron. The bunker, however, is only enough for 3 days. I’ve been using it recently, and haven’t really studied what the benefits are yet.
Igor Kazan Reliable German boiler. No ignition - this is a significant disadvantage. I'm trying to set up a large bunker for feeding pellets so that I don't have to load the bags myself.
Vladimir Samara Compact and inexpensive. Of the minuses, I can say that steel is susceptible to corrosion. I had to choose a different metal, I decided to save money, and in vain. I like the price, but I don’t like it – it’s very inconvenient to fill the pellets.
Oleg Krasnodar
Among the advantages, I will note the quality, but I cannot note the disadvantages. I like the purchase. Decent quality at an affordable price. Professionally done. The consumption of pellets for heating is average, but we don’t get frosts often.

Pellets
The compressed pellets, 6–8mm in diameter and up to 50mm in length, are made primarily from waste wood and are considered an environmentally friendly, renewable and carbon-neutral fuel. The granules are made without any kind of chemical additives. When burned, pellets emit more heat than wood, gas or diesel fuel. And at the same time, the price for them does not rise as catastrophically as for other types of fuel.
Pellets differ in their raw materials and the method of processing, which determine the color of the finished product. White pellets are obtained from wood waste. Gray - from a mixture of wood with bark and peat or seed husks. Black pellets are produced from the same raw materials, but by oxygen-free firing at high temperatures; their calorific characteristics are similar to coal, do not rot and are water-repellent.
Many boiler owners speak negatively about the quality of domestic pellets. Although it is difficult to rely only on reviews. Each region has its own producers of this type of solid fuel, and you can only find out what quality the pellets were after burning them. Even clean seed husks burn well and provide enough heat with the correct granule manufacturing technology. It is recommended to determine the approximate quality of granules by their appearance. They should be shiny, without cracks, at least 10 mm long, and not crumble into dust in your hands.
What to look for when choosing
What parameters will make the purchase the most profitable? Please note the following:
- Certificate. Be sure to purchase a product with a certificate - it indicates the safety of the device.
- Type of granules. Pay attention to the pellets that are used in certain types of boiler. Some models have specific instructions for the type of granules.
- Power. The more powerful the device, the better – this model will work longer in autonomous mode.
- Container volume. This parameter affects the frequency of boiler maintenance. The smaller the volume, the more often you will have to change fuel.
- Principle of operation. There are two options here: either a boiler with automatic regulation or a manual one. Choose the one that is more convenient for you personally.
Introduction
And my life in the city of Pavlodar, which is located in Kazakhstan, prompted me to this article. The fact is that they have a very developed consumption of coal. A large amount of which is mined in Karaganda. According to the Kazakhs themselves, Karaganda is located on mines and the depth of the mine there is about 700 meters. They claim that this is the second deepest mine in the world, after some American one. I did not check this information, but I listened to my Kazakh friend Serik with interest.
His mother lives in Karaganda and he periodically goes there. So he says, both the ecology there and the city itself are very dirty, although coal deposits feed half the country.
In general, this Serik is a cool guy, he told one story about how we tore our stomachs there. Serik himself weighs 120 kilograms. He is two meters tall and has golden teeth. The Kazakh is at the full peak of his strength, and if one cracks, it will at least cause a concussion. Let me tell you the story itself at the end of the article? Let's get down to business now.
