Comment. When operating on coal and wood, the boiler produces less heat than on gas, which is noticeable in terms of efficiency. Example: the KS-G-016SN / AOTV-12 unit in the first case develops a power of 12 kW, in the second - 16 kW.

The operating algorithm is simple: while the coolant is heated by coal, the gas burner does not ignite. When the sensor detects a drop in temperature, the gas supply will open and the right side of the heat generator will start working. The main thing is that the pilot light is lit.

The gas installation “Zhytomyr-10” consists of two separate sections - a boiler furnace and an instantaneous water heater. Burners, safety devices and heat exchangers are completely separated. In fact, the gas water heater and the boiler are combined in one housing. The goal is to increase water consumption for hot water supply to a comfortable level without compromising heating efficiency.

Rules for filling the system with water before turning on the gas boiler

Before lighting a gas boiler and turning on the heating system, it is first filled with cold coolant, which, after heating, will circulate through the pipes and radiators. How to start a gas boiler for the first time

What is the reason? Won't it be torn apart? The unit is not leveled correctly or the heating system is clogged. The device has nothing to do with it. A floor-standing boiler Zhitomir 3 Atem KS-GV SN 12.5 kW, Eurosit was installed, after 8 years of operation it stopped turning off when heated and began to work continuously, raising the temperature to over 80 degrees. You have a problem with the automation, that is, the thermostat does not work, you will have to change the automation completely. I turn on the new Zhitomir parapet boiler.

Everything is working. I turned it on in the evening, everything worked until night.

We woke up in the morning and the boiler had gone out. And already three times. Before this, they turned it on once, everything was fine, and then it got warmer, and they turned it off, and the second time there were such problems. There is a craving. He worked for at least exactly three hours.

You most likely have oxidation of the draft sensor; it does not see the contact and because of this it quickly goes out. You need to clean the connections until they are shiny and the boiler is working. It began to go out at low and medium throttle. From 1 to 5 it will work and the gas supply will be turned off. It works fine on 6 and 7. The second season has worked, the circulation pump is installed. It even happened that the igniter did not light up, cleaned the terminals, worked normally for about a day and began to turn off again. In principle, it’s already spring and I don’t want to call an unfamiliar gas worker.

Yes, maybe I can figure it out on my own. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be and its solution? The igniter flame - the root third is bluish, the middle and top are yellow, fluctuates quite strongly. In general, in the fall there was a strange symptom: if you turn on the igniter and immediately turn on the burner, the gas supply turns off after a minute or two. And if the igniter burns for five minutes, the gas supply does not turn off.

We had a similar situation. During assembly, the thermal breaker was not completely screwed into the magnetic valve. Apparently the contact between them was not initially the strongest, and over the two seasons of work the contact worsened. And apparently, there was not enough contact, but there was enough. We tightened it a little more and everything became normal. I had the following problem: the Zhitomir-M parapet gas boiler, installed last year, began to go out. The most interesting thing is that it goes out in position 2 and 1 in position 3 lights up without problems.

This happened just yesterday, before that everything was normal.

Circulation pump

The boiler circulation pump requires special attention during startup.

Air often accumulates in it, and its blades sometimes seem to get stuck (the boiler will display a corresponding error).

It is recommended to rotate the shaft manually before starting.

To do this, you need to remove the front panel of the housing, unscrew the central bolt on the pump and use a straight-bladed screwdriver to turn the shaft in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Important point. The manufacturer strongly recommends using long-burning boilers in conjunction with an accumulating buffer tank that can hold 0.35–1 m³ of coolant.

Positive and negative aspects of operation

In terms of ease of use and reliability, Atem TT boilers differ little from other heat generators in the budget segment:

  • the heat source operates without electricity;
  • combustion duration and efficiency strongly depend on the quality of the fuel (wood, coal) and operating mode;
  • cleaning the firebox and ash pan is not difficult; access to the fire tubes is through the front door;
  • If the operating rules are followed and there is no overheating, the device will last 10-15 years;
  • you can cook food on AKTV series boilers;
  • burning wood is a priori more economical than using other energy sources (excluding natural gas in the Russian Federation).

The most important advantage of Zhitomir-D heaters is the large volume of the fuel chamber, which determines the combustion duration. It is very difficult to find boilers of similar capacity among equipment from other brands. The real competitor is the Lithuanian Stropuva 20 kW with a firebox volume of 260 liters, which is significantly more expensive.

There is no point in listing the disadvantages inherent in all wood and coal boilers. Let us note the specific disadvantages of Zhytomyr devices:

  1. The low threshold of the maximum coolant pressure does not allow the TT boiler to be safely operated as part of a closed heating system, where the water pressure can reach 3 Bar.
  2. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, the temperature in the return pipeline should not fall below 45 degrees, otherwise condensation will form in the firebox. With natural circulation, it is unrealistic to use a classic piping scheme with a bypass and a three-way valve that protects against cold return.
  3. Manual air supply control does not allow you to implement the optimal operating mode and maintain the desired temperature. The draft regulator only partially solves the problem. Request for the manufacturer: equip 2-3 models with an automation unit and turbocharging.

Varieties

Today, several types are involved in the production of Zhytomyr boilers - parapet (wall-mounted) and floor-mounted. In turn, floor products also have divisions into single-circuit and double-circuit.

In terms of their technical characteristics, floor-standing boilers mostly have the following similarities:

  • the maximum temperature limit is +90 degrees;
  • efficiency is 92%;
  • gas pressure – 635 Pa.

But when choosing a model you definitely like, you need to consider its specific characteristics and capabilities.

Wall mounted

The same separation as in floor-standing boilers is also present in wall-mounted boiler models. They can also be single-circuit or double-circuit. The efficiency of all devices is the same. The same applies to gas pressure.

But it’s still worth considering their characteristics in more detail:

  • the power of parapet boilers must be no less than 5 kW and no more than 20 kW;
  • the coolant in the device is no more than 17.5 liters;
  • depending on the chosen model, natural gas consumption is considered; according to the standard - 0.56–1.67 cubic meters per hour;
  • profitability due to imported automation.

For its part, the manufacturer provides a wide range of boilers to choose from, but the Zhitomir-3 KS-G-020 SN model is still in great demand. This device differs from its counterparts not only in terms of availability in terms of price, but also has clear technical data. The design of the device is designed in a minimalist style; the appearance of the boiler looks like a cabinet. It should only be placed on the floor. On the front of the model there is a small door behind which hides a button for turning on and adjusting the device settings. In the same part there is a control window, with the help of which you need to monitor the performance indicators of the boiler.

The basic package includes a housing, which also includes heat exchanger elements. On the outside, it is covered with heat-insulating material and a casing made of steel. The burners are presented in two pieces: one is the main one, and the second is the ignition one. The package includes a gas duct and an automatic gas valve, which is responsible for safety during operation.
